HELPING OTHERS

History

In a response to the opiate epidemic, Tri City Counseling started up in May of 2017 in New Hampshire. Over the last year, we have worked onsite with group homes in the state to deliver services where they are most needed. Currently Tri City Counseling offers a full range of Telehealth appointment times .

I am a retired banker that found, during years of banking, that many families would be financially affected by addictions.  People would lose paychecks week after week, not be able to pay rent, buy oil, food or care for their children.  They would be embarrassed to come in with accounts in the negative. Many times there would be a trail of cash withdrawals by a loved one that gained access to their accounts or when debit cards came into play a series of charges to casinos, liquor stores or porn sites which would tear families apart.  There was always so much shame and guilt.  I always had a drawer of services available in the city to help people find help for the basic necessities. As time went on I discovered that helping individuals survive addiction and then learn to live again, was more important to me than helping them with their financial goals and made a career change to counseling.
